January 2010
Painting Size: 123cm x 76cm
I used my first hand photographs to develop this piece, showing high end luxury fashion made from animals, with images of cats in captivity. I used deep red paint to show blood dripping down over the cats - signifying cruelty and death. I used a very large canvas as I wanted it to stand out and impact on the audience. The base is acrylic with chalk pastels worked into the face, hair and hat. A piece of leather gripped by Annie gives a 3D dimension to the piece. This is my favourite painting.
